RKS Technologies ("we", "us", "our") built the BhaktiApp mobile application
("App") as a free application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Profile data — name, profile photo, preferred language, and chosen deity, provided during onboarding.
- Google account info — email address and display name, if you choose to sign in with Google.
b) Information generated by usage
- Japa session data — chant counts, session duration, timestamps, and streak information, stored locally on your device and optionally synced to the cloud.
- Mantra preferences — favorited mantras, active mantra selections, and quiz answers for AI recommendations.
c) Automatically collected
- Analytics — anonymous usage statistics via Firebase Analytics (screen views, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is tied to analytics events.
- Crash reports — anonymous crash logs via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability.
- Device information — device model, OS version, and app version for compatibility purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalise the App experience (deity themes, mantra recommendations, japa tracking).
- To sync your progress across devices when you sign in with Google.
- To send daily japa reminders and streak notifications (only if you enable them).
- To generate AI-powered mantra recommendations based on your quiz responses.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs using anonymous crash reports and analytics.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local storage — your japa data and profile are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage (Hive).
- Cloud storage — if you sign in, data is synced to Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — authentication, cloud storage, analytics, crashlytics, cloud functions, and push notifications.
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication.
5. Permissions
- Internet — required for cloud sync, AI recommendations, and analytics.
- Notifications — for daily japa reminders (you can disable this in settings).
- Vibration — for Multi-Sensory Japa haptic feedback.
- Camera — only used if you choose to take a profile photo.
- Wake Lock — keeps the screen on during japa sessions.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. The App contains no ads, in-app
purchases, or inappropriate content.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or delete your account.
- You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from the Profile screen within the App.
- Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal data at any time via the App settings.
- Use the App as a guest without providing any personal information.
- Opt out of notifications at any time.
- Request a copy of your data or its deletion by contacting us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted
on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App
after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
